Day 25: Pushing Forward, Paying the Price

"The day started with a small but welcome improvement and confirmed the impact of consistent physiotherapy. Morning treatment helped, but a long day on my feet pushed swelling back up. Progress is there, but it clearly comes with a cost."

I woke up feeling a bit better today. Not dramatically, but enough to notice. It felt like yesterday’s work with Cleyber finally made some difference. I kept things moving, had a quick breakfast, got ready for work, and met him again at 8 a.m. Morning physiotherapy really changes the tone of the day.

He released my leg muscles again, with absolutely no mercy. Painful, yes, but at this point that almost feels like part of the deal. No one promised this would be easy. My quads were left tired and heavy. At one point, I wondered if we might be doing too much, but Cleyber was clear. This is the right intensity. We need to keep pushing.

The knee looked better after the session. That alone helped quiet some doubts.

After physiotherapy, I went to work and made a conscious effort to keep my leg straight whenever possible. I also drank a lot of water, trying to support recovery however I could. Later, I went to my youngest daughter’s school to watch her ballet class. She even pulled me into dancing with her. Probably not the smartest move, but refusing her felt impossible.

I came home briefly for a Game Ready session and more stretching, then headed out again for a work event. More standing, more fatigue. By the end of the day, I was completely drained. When I got home, the swelling was clearly back.

Another Game Ready session and straight to bed. Today delivered both progress and consequences, back to back.
