Day 30: Momentum, Then Motion

"A strong, structured morning brought tangible progress in mobility and a clear plan for the weeks ahead. The day then shifted gears into travel mode, where stress replaced structure, but support systems helped smooth the edges."

I woke up early and started the day with ice, followed by physiotherapy with Cleyber. We began on the bike. Full rotation is not there yet, so we worked with forward and backward movements for ten minutes. Even without a full turn, it helped a lot. With every minute, the knee felt a bit looser, a bit more willing. Cleyber thinks that within a week I should be able to complete full rotations. That milestone requires around 110 degrees of flexion, so now the target is clear.

After the bike, we moved into muscle release and activation with electrostimulation. Painful in moments, but purposeful. We then sat down and discussed the exercise plan for the next four weeks. Cleyber upgraded Bruna’s program and turned it into a detailed, day-by-day plan. Seeing it laid out like that felt reassuring. A plan gives direction. Now the real question is whether I can stick to it consistently while traveling.

Once home, I packed my suitcase and officially entered travel mode. From there, stress took over quickly. Heavy rain caused traffic everywhere, the kids were buzzing with excitement, and the adults were very much not. It took an hour and a half just to reach the airport.

At least one thing worked in my favor. I got a wheelchair at the airport entrance, which immediately made the experience more manageable. Less standing, less rushing, fewer bad decisions. Sometimes small accommodations make a big difference.

The day started with control and intention and ended in chaos, but the progress from the morning stayed with me. That counts.
