Day 66: Signals, Adjustments, and Resetting the Frame

"A slow, heavy start followed by cautious progress and necessary adjustments. The knee sent mixed signals today, reminding me that pushing forward also means knowing when to recalibrate. Routine is returning, and with it, a sense of structure and relief."

Pain Level Variable
Swelling Low to moderate, reactive

Early morning, this time forced by an alarm. Exams day. Blood work, ultrasound, echocardiogram. A lot of walking between rooms, changing, sitting, waiting. The knee felt strange through all of it. Stiff, slow, uncooperative. Not painful in a sharp way, just clearly unhappy. I kept wondering if yesterday was too much.

Back home, I slowed everything down. Worked from home, ate well, stayed seated, leg elevated. Gave the knee space to settle.

Before physio, I went for a quick gym session. Chest only. Nothing fancy. When Cleyber arrived, something shifted. It happens often. As soon as I see him, my knee seems to wake up. Looser. More responsive. Strange, but consistent.

Bike felt easy today. I managed to lower the seat significantly, pushing mobility without resistance. Exercises started well. Light, controlled, no pain. Then, gradually, discomfort crept in. Pain on both sides of the knee. Left side around the kneecap, right side in the quad. Cleyber did not like that at all.

We adjusted immediately. Reduced load, changed angles, slowed the pace. Liberation work, then flexion to finish. Still uncomfortable, but controlled.

Back home, dinner, cooking, family chaos in the good way. Kids finally went to sleep.

Tomorrow, school is back. Routine is back. Structure is back.

Opened a bottle of wine to mark the end of vacations. A small celebration. A reset.
