Week 12

Day 78: Momentum

A motivating day both mentally and physically. Conversations about business mirrored the recovery mindset, adapt, adjust, keep going. The knee felt good, tolerated more load, and flexion reached 140 degrees, reinforcing that progress is real and building.

Eleven weeks already. That thought stayed with me all day.

The morning started at the dentist, then straight to lunch with a friend. We talked business. His is going really well. Mine, not exactly where I want it yet. Still, hearing about a friend doing well is energizing. It reminds me that progress exists, even when it feels slow from the inside.

The conversation stayed with me. Business is not that different from recovery. When something blocks you, you adapt. You change the angle, the rhythm, sometimes even the goal. Every now and then, you take one step back, not to quit, but to jump further later.

The knee felt good today. One small annoyance remains. Getting in and out of taxis still feels awkward. Not painful, just clumsy. A reminder that things are improving, but not finished.

Back home, I had a call with my team. We talked about ideas, direction, and how we want to move forward this year. We planned another immersion to review last year properly and set the tone for the next one. I felt motivated. The same quiet determination I feel with my recovery showed up there too.

In the evening, I went for a quick gym session. Shoulders and core. Then Cleyber arrived. Since the knee felt better today, we decided to raise the bar a little. More weight, a few new exercises. The knee responded well. There was still some pain, but much less than a month ago. That difference is hard to ignore.

We pushed hard, both in strength work and flexion. The number landed at 140 degrees. Four days left to reach 145. Cleyber reminded me how important it is to hit full flexion before the three-month mark. He was happy with the progress. So was I.

Back home, dinner with everyone and a movie night with my love. One of those days that leaves you tired but full. Learning, progress, and a lot of hope packed into a single day.
